One of Houston’s oldest areas is a thriving neighborhood with rich history. Northside Village, dating to the late 1800s, has been on the rise with new modern-style housing developments and apartment complexes springing up across the community. While these new developments are popping up, you’ll still find many older houses from the early 1900s that have been renovated. Despite its proximity to the city, Northside Village has a small-town feel within its public parks. At Irvington Park, you have access to a playground, softball field and picnic area. Moody Park offers a community center with a public pool, tennis courts, baseball field and two playgrounds. The Moody Community Center features an indoor basketball court and weight room. Parents can also sign their kids up for an after-school program at the center.
